Biography

Dr. Jennifer Papuzza is a board-certified family physician. She received her medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY, and completed her internship and residency training at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. Dr. Papuzza began her studies at Siena College in Loudonville, NY, earning her Bachelor of Arts in biology. She is interested in preventative medicine, chronic disease management, and women’s health. Dr. Papuzza chose to pursue family medicine because of the variety of medicine and the opportunity to care for people over many years and stages of life. She strives to deliver compassionate, patient-centered, and evidence-based care and to partner with patients and their families to improve health and quality of life.

Dr. Papuzza was drawn to medicine from a young age, and shadowing and volunteering at hospitals throughout high school helped to solidify her decision. She loves partnering with patients to help improve health, whether through disease prevention, optimizing the management of chronic conditions, or addressing mental health or social concerns. Dr. Papuzza believes in providing education and resources to help people become more active participants in their healthcare. She aims to meet her patients where they are and address the concerns that are most important to them while also educating them about evidence-based ways to improve health and prevent diseases.

Dr. Papuzza is originally from Corning, NY but came to the Capital Region to study as part of the Siena College/Albany Medical College 8-year degree program. She fell in love with the area and decided to stay here for residency and to practice medicine. Outside medicine, Dr. Papuzza loves to travel and hike, especially with her husband and dog in the Adirondacks and exploring local trails.
