Biography

Dr. Madeline Haas grew up in Cambridge, MA, where she stayed to earn her Bachelor of Arts in history from Harvard College. She first moved to Albany to attend Albany Medical College, from which she received her Doctor of Medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at Boston University and Boston Medical Center. Dr. Haas is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Haas loves family medicine because she is able to take care of the whole family, from babies to the elderly. She tries to get to know her patients as people, to help them find ways to use their strengths as a basis for working towards better health. She appreciates listening to and learning from diverse languages and cultures and enjoys taking care of patients from around the world as well as the local community. Dr. Haas has interests in gynecology, obstetrics and prenatal care, hospital medicine, geriatrics, addiction medicine, health equity and racism in healthcare, advocacy, and medical education.

Dr. Haas is happy to be back in Albany because she loves being close to the outdoors and enjoys the access to yoga, running, farmer’s markets, and gardening that the Capital Region offers!
