The electronic health record reduces the complexity of paper-based charts and assists physicians in collecting, evaluating and documenting information regarding medical care via a computer. This allows providers to share information in real time with the highest level of confidentiality.

The electronic medical record allows Community Care Providers immediate access to medical information (including laboratory and imaging tests) that is generated by any Community Care provider, laboratory or imaging center.

Community Care Physicians is the first and largest practice to use this electronic communication system in the Capital District.
