Biography

Dr. Hallie Buddendeck grew up in Rochester, NY, where early experiences as a patient sparked a lifelong passion for medicine. Inspired by the physicians who profoundly improved her life, she pursued a pre-medicine track at Binghamton University while competing as a short sprint track and field athlete. She attended medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University.

As a first-generation medical student with limited exposure to the range of medical specialties, Dr. Buddendeck discovered her passion for family medicine somewhat by chance. While volunteering with Housecalls for the Homeless—a program serving the unhoused community in Syracuse—she unknowingly found herself delivering full-spectrum family medicine. It wasn’t until her third-year clinical rotation that she recognized the powerful connection between her volunteer work and the broader scope of family medicine. From that moment on, the choice was clear.

Dr. Buddendeck has special interests in reproductive healthcare and underserved medicine. Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys reading fiction, supporting independent bookstores, caring for her ever-growing collection of houseplants, rollerblading with her partner, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.
