Biography

Dr. Julina Evans was born and raised in New York City but has called the Capital District home for over a decade. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Trinity College and later completed a Post-Baccalaureate in Pre-Medical Studies at Russell Sage College. During that time, she also worked as a Patient Care Associate at Albany Medical Center, gaining hands-on experience in both the Neuroscience Unit and the Float Pool.

She went on to earn a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Albany Medical College and worked in a variety of primary care settings as a Physician Assistant. Her commitment to serving underserved communities earned her a National Health Service Corps scholarship, further fueling her passion for healthcare equity.

Determined to expand her role as a provider, Dr. Evans returned to medical school and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2025. She remains deeply committed to advancing equitable healthcare across the lifespan and making a meaningful impact on the lives of her patients.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Evans enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, playing tennis, traveling, and participating in athletic events. She is thrilled to begin her training as a Family Medicine Physician—especially at the very institution where her healthcare journey first began.
